What it does for you

An analytics platform for those who need more than built-in system dashboards: it connects to all your system databases, so your team builds charts and dashboards without code, and analysts write queries directly. Each manager views their dashboard and receives scheduled reports by email on time. The platform and your data reside on a server we host for you in Egypt.

Alternative to

If you are looking for an alternative to Power BI and Tableau, this replaces:

  • Microsoft Power BI.
  • Tableau.
  • Excel files manually compiled from multiple systems.

What you get

  • Connections to many databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, Oracle, ClickHouse, and others.
  • No-code chart builder: choose data, metrics, and visualization types.
  • Dozens of chart types: bar, line, pie, map, pivot table, heatmap, and more.
  • Interactive dashboards with filters affecting all dashboard charts, where clicking a chart filters the rest.
  • SQL query editor for analysts, with query saving and sharing.
  • Defined datasets and metrics used by everyone with consistent meaning.
  • Row-level security: each branch or manager sees only their own data.
  • Roles and permissions across dashboards and data sources.
  • Scheduled reports and alerts via email, with alerts when a metric crosses a threshold.
  • Embedding dashboards into your systems or portal.
  • Export to CSV and images.
  • Caching to speed up heavy dashboards.

Built on Apache Superset, an open-source data exploration and visualization platform.

Arabic and hosting in Egypt

  • Arabic: parts of the interface are translated into Arabic with the rest in English; dashboard names, charts, and data you write in Arabic work fully. We complete the translation under "Customization".
  • Hosting: we host it for you in Egypt alongside your databases, sizing the server to your data volume and user count (infrastructure design).

Who it is for

Frequently asked questions

Is it an alternative to Power BI or Tableau?

Yes, for interactive dashboards, visualizations, filters, scheduled reports, and data permissions. The difference is that it is open source with no per-user license, and your data stays on a server inside Egypt.

What is the difference between it and "Dashboards and Reports"?

Dashboards and reports are sufficient for most companies for dashboards on Asas data itself. Advanced analytics is for those with big data across multiple systems or analysts writing queries.

Does it require an analyst who knows SQL?

No for regular dashboards, as the chart builder requires no code. SQL helps analysts with deeper analyses.

Does it connect to Excel files?

It works on databases. We can upload your Excel and CSV files to a database for analysis.

Our limits

  • It runs on databases; dashboard quality reflects the quality of data in your systems.
  • The software is from its developer (Apache Superset); our work is hosting, configuration, operations, and support.
